Essay assaignment 3

My theme is "difference between lying and joking". many people accept joking, but only few people do lying. what makes the difference? before I set about writing an outline of body paragraph, I should define the words, lying and joking. therefore i quote the definitions from "Oxford advanced learner's dictionary". Move on to body paragraph. Body paragraph 1 will refer to the difference in regard to the relationship between who have told a lie or made a joke and who have been received it, and I will quote the sentences that "pure joking should just be light-hearted, humorous and benign but lying is manipulating facts usually to cover your own sins or misconduct" written by solo202 from http://www.faithforum.org/community/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=315. Body paragraph will explain the difference from the view point of who have told a lie or made a joke, and I will quote that "Usually if someone is kidding though, they intend to tell you the truth, or they assume that you already know the truth and will understand that what they say is not true without them saying so. Lairs usually don’t want you to know that they’re not telling the truth" written by Rachel from http://www.onlykidding.net/kidding/whats-the-difference-between-lying-and-kiddin. Body paragraph3 will approach the topic from the stand point of who have been received the joke or the lie and I will quote "A lie has the potential for harming something or someone if not found out. A joke is funny and will not cause harm no matter the circumstances." written by Bill Taylor from http://www.faithforum.org/community/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=315.
